Province of Cadiz offers a big touristic itinerary -(golf fields, white villages route, Jerez, El Puerto de Santa María, beach of Gaditanian coast...), where you can find services of big quality for visitors. Its proximity to Seville (1 hour by the highway) makes of Cadiz an excellent port of call for vessels that due to their size cannot access to Seville.
  
History
Capital of the province, located at the bay of its name, Cadiz is the oldest city in the West, founded in 1.100 AD by Phoenician people. Entrance gate of cultures as phoenicians, romans, arabians, etc.
Christopher Columbus sailed out of Cadiz port on his second and third voyages. In 1717 the King Felipe V Cadiz was made Head of the Trade Monopoly with the Americas.
Here was proclaimed the first Spanish Constitution in 1812.
Typical districts as: La Viña, Santa María, El Pópulo. Its historical district is considerated as Historical and Artistic Monument, where are located: the cathedral (XVIII), Santa Cruz Church (XIII), San Felipe Chapel (XVIII), Santa Cueva Chapel (XVIII) where can be see three paintings of Goya, San Agustín Church (XVII) and Carmen and Pastora Churschs. Cadiz is envolved by the sea and its ramparts, protected by its castles looking always to the sea.
